DOC LOUNGE: Free out door Filmscreening: Rude Boy

It is hard to dance sitting down inside, so we plan to take the filmscreening outside.

RUDE BOY is an ode to the famous British label Trojan Records. The point of departure is the 1950’s Jamaica, where rhythm and blues gave birth to the up-tempo dance music of ska, which would later evolve into rocksteady and reggae.

Through the stories of musicians, producers and others, and illustrated by nostalgic, dramatic reconstructions, the documentary  RUDE BOY: The Story of Trojan Records interweaves the emergence of an influential musical movement with post-colonial history.

Come early and enjoy Georgian short films & foods, lounge and chill to laid back tunes.

The free event starts around 21:00 – more information will follow.
