DOC LOUNGE: Our Blood is Wine (Premiere)

An evening with film, wine tasting and a bowl of stew.

In Our Blood is wine filmmaker Emily Railsback and award-winning sommelier Jeremy Quinn provide an intimate access to rural family life in the Republic of Georgia as they explore the rebirth of 8.000-year-old, Georgian winemaking traditions, which were almost lost during the period of Soviet rule.

Railsback brings the voices of modern Georgians directly to the viewer, revealing an intricate and resilient society that has survived a number of foreign invasions – threatening Georgian culture. The revival of traditional winemaking is one of the central force driving this strong, independent and autonomous nation to find its identity.

After the film, the Georgian, young, female wine maker, Ketevan from Go Go Wine, who is portrayed in the film, answers questions.

During the film, sommelier and ass. prof. Qian Janice Wang and Domen Prešern gives a wine tasting, introducing some of the special wines and tastes of Georgia.

Price: 200 kr incl. films, wine tasting session with ass. prof Qian Janice Wang and Domen prešern and foods.

There are a limited number of tickets for sale – we will be max 30 people at the event.

The film has english subtitles and the wine tasting – and the talk – is in English.
