About Rude Boy
With visual surplus, the documentary shows the story of the English record label Trojan Records that, along with the massive influx of Jamaican immigrants, brought ska, rocksteady – and later reggae – to England.
The film tells how reggae and ska came to Europe and follow the story of rocksteady, ska and reggae music’s journey from Jamaica to England in the 1960s’ 70s. RUDEBOY shows how the music united the working class Mods, Skinheads and ‘Rudeboys’ in a new youth culture.
