Edhem Jesenkovic
Republika
Part of Stand Alone – Solo Performance Festival 2017
With Republika, Edhem Jesenkovic seeks back to an otherwise repressed period of his life. A time dominated by uncertainty and fear; The 90’s where civil wars in the Balkans broke out, and where he and his family were forced to flee.
Edhem Jesenkovic tries to understand how flight and fear affect the reality in which he lives today, and Republika is a raw and unsweetened staging of the constant inner struggle of migrants.
