Teater Rio Rose
The Arrival
A moving story about being foreign – and about belonging.
What leads a man to put everything behind him, and travel alone to a foreign country where everything is unknown, loneliness overwhelming and the future uncertain?
Shaun Tan’s graphic novel The Arrival follows a man, as he escapes to a world where everything is different. In Teater Rio Rose’s beautiful performance, the 449 pages of the book form a poetic film which is accompanied by live music.
The music is composed by the acknowledged Danish musician Thomas Clausen, who together with the talented accordion Francesco Calì constitute the two man band of the performance.
